I was lucky enough to meet Brian, C.E.O, when I was working near The Exercise Coach. My biggest problem was “time commitment” required at most gyms. Since I have been working out at The Exercise Coach, I am always in shape and I feel good about myself. It’s always a plus to hear that I don’t look my age! The trainers are very competent and dedicated in that they truly want you to succeed. I personally appreciate them and have developed a good friendship. The equipment is so innovative and updated, and the ambiance is nice. Also, having set appointments keeps me from making excuses. I am sure that if I had signed up at another health club, I would not visit very often. So I plan to be here another 10 years and why not even more since they keep me in such great shape!

For over 10 years I have been coming to The Exercise Coach because I believe that core strength is very important as you grow older. I am now over 60 years old but feel that I am stronger than I was when I was in my twenties. The staff at The Exercise Coach knows when to push you and when to ease off. A few years ago, I was very close to having back surgery. But, after working on my back strength at The Exercise Coach, I avoided the surgery and now my back feels great!

I have been going to The Exercise Coach for over 12 years. It was recommended to me by my doctor because I have osteoporosis. Prior to starting with The Exercise Coach, I had been given an array of medications to help with the condition. Unfortunately, I had adverse reactions to all of them. Hence, Exercise Coach! After two years of training, I had built my bones back up and remained there for over 10 years. The Exercise Coach has made me physically stronger which reduces my risk factors for bone breaks. The side effects for doing something to improve my bones and strength are: more energy; ability to do other physical activity; and a great sense of well-being. Thank you Exercise Coach.

The Exercise Coach has met all of my needs for a healthy workout system. The time is short and intensive. I don’t have to spend long periods of time in a gym to realize the same results. I never plateau, I keep getting better and stronger. The studio is very clean and well managed. I highly recommend The Exercise Coach as a short, safe, well thought-out workout program. I am eighty (80) years old and the program helps me be flexible and strong!

Although this program is short in it’s duration (20 minutes), it makes up for it in intensity. It is the most important twenty minutes of my my week! Even though I am happy when it is over (LOL), I know my body will suffer if I miss a session or two. I highly recommend The Exercise Coach to anyone of any age.

I am very pleased with the results I have achieved so far. I am about 60 days into the program and I’ve lost 20 lbs and feel stronger and healthier than I’ve felt in years. The two workouts each week are challenging, but very effective. The 30-Day Metabolic Comeback eating plan has helped me to totally reconfigure how I eat. I eat more healthy, real food and far less junk food. “Enjoying Strength” is not just a slogan for me. I’m living it.

I have been receiving strength training from The Exercise Coach for about three years. Large, commercial gyms or fitness centers are not my style but I needed a program that fits my lifestyle, so flexibility of time was key. The bi-weekly, twenty-minute sessions fit this perfectly and I’m so pleased with the results. I’ve gained strength, which I recognized almost immediately in that I can carry my photo and work backpacks without strain on my shoulders or getting sore. This program has helped me maintain a healthy lifestyle and has motivated me to continue this practice. Having the personal trainer and guidance is critical to my success!

I wanted to work out with the help of someone knowledgeable of my health issues (Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoporosis, MS). I have confidence that The Exercise Coach program is safe and don’t fear getting hurt. I can tell I am getting stronger and my husband notices too! The first time I went to Mt. Rushmore, before The Exercise Coach, I needed help just getting around. Last year, I went back and I had no problem at all!

I have been attending twice weekly training sessions at The Exercise Coach for about 15 months now. I am 54 years old and wish I had started this training 30 years ago. I feel so much better, stronger, and have much more stamina. My legs have given me pain and made walking any distance or time very difficult for me over the past 20 years. I am now absolutely pain free in my legs all due to The Exercise Coach. I can walk long distances for long lengths of time without suffering pain. The pain in my lower back is gone as well. I feel that I am truly “enjoying strength.” Everyone at The Exercise Coach is so helpful and encouraging, and the twice weekly 20-minute workouts are very manageable with my busy work schedule. Thanks so much to everyone at The Exercise Coach!

I became a client at The Exercise Coach 2 months ago. In that time, I have had results with two 20 minute sessions per week that I was unable to attain working out with a trainer in a traditional gym 3-5 times a week, plus extra independent workouts. Starting at an average weight and body fat range, I was still able to lose 7 pounds of fat and gain 2.4 pounds of muscle in just the two months since joining The Exercise Coach. My husband started The Metabolic Comeback Nutrition Program along with his two 20 minute sessions per week and was able to lose 22 pounds and 10.75 inches in 30 days! As a busy professional with young children, getting to the gym falls far down on the priority list. The convenience and efficiency of The Exercise Coach workouts have been ideal for our family. The proof is in the results!

I have always had a weight problem and finally made a conscious decision to do something about it. The Exercise Coach told me their program involved strength training 20 minutes, two times per week, and sensible eating. They stressed the importance of muscle mass and its effect on metabolism and insured me that their methods were the safest and most effective around. I told them in one year I want to lose 50lbs. Not only did I make my goal, I exceeded it. I have shed over 60lbs in the last 18 months, and because of my strength training I have preserved my metabolism during the process. I am totally transformed!

For years I struggled with my weight. I tried numerous diets and excercise programs, including personal trainers, but didn’t have much success. Even worse, as soon as I got off the program or diet, I’d gain the weight back and then some. It put me in a deep hole with 150 pounds to lose. I knew that I needed a new approach and it had to be effective. I wasn’t interested in wasting my time, energy or money on something that didn’t work. Enter the Exercise Coach. Their innovative program has made a huge difference in my ability to lose weight and regain my fitness. The workout was challenging but even with bad knees and a bad back I was able to do it. Within 6 weeks my knees and back no longer hurt. The coaches worked with me to achieve my goals safely. I felt like I had a real partner in my success. I think my coaches were as excited as I was on the day I was finally able to fit into my wedding rings again! With their nutrition plan, the Metabolic Comeback, I’ve gotten a new appreciation for high quality, wholesome foods and how they improve my skin, my energy and my body. I even sleep better eating this way. This is not the over-processed, low fat junk that other programs pass off as healthy eating. There are no potions or powders, but real food. It is truly the way we were born to eat. After two years of success, it still feels almost too good to be true. How can two 20-minute sessions a week be this effective? The fact is that I do a lot less work and get much better results. I can hardly believe I’ve lost 100 pounds in exactly 100 weeks and am still going strong. I cannot imagine a better program. I am once again a full participant in my own life. 100 pounds in 100 weeks Exercise: 20 minutes 2x / week Time invested: 40 minutes / pound of weight loss Compare this to Steve Blair or biggest loser or the person who goes to the gym 5 days a week and can’t lose a pound!

I knew that my sessions at The Exercise Coach would be important to me, but it wasn’t until I had a 52 lb. weight loss that I realized how important they really were to my health. For more than four years, I have been an Exercise Coach client. I have two 20-minute sessions per week. My coaches (Chad, Troy, Nate) planned a strength training program for my success. I immediately noticed increased physical stability and endurance. The slow methodical effort and pace of their training has proven to be the best for building muscle and strength. These two 20-minute sessions have lasting effects for an entire week. I know that today I have much more endurance than I had when I was in my 20s. But my biggest success was when I wanted to lose more weight. My weight loss goal was a modest amount but after three months, I surpassed that goal for a weight loss of more than 20 lbs. We determined that my strength training, along with a healthy eating plan, was the reason I continued to lose weight but not muscle mass. Today, I feel stronger than I did when I was younger and I have the confidence to set new strength training goals. I look forward to my strength training sessions each week and miss them when I am out of town. To my coaches Troy and Nate I say, thank you! You each told me I could, you stood by me while I did it, and you continue to be the partners I need to move forward to make sure that I have the strongest body for my physical well-being. I am an Exercise Coach supporter and fan – I tell everyone I meet about your business and my success.

Wow! These folks are really good. The Exercise Coach is helping me to achieve goals I’ve had for what feels like a lifetime. It’s an awesome feeling! The program includes strength enhancement, weight loss, and ongoing nutritional guidance. They have supplied all of the incentives and tools necessary for me to accomplish lifelong goals. Health goals I had pretty much given up on . . . for that I am extremely thankful. I’m a retired guy – age 66 – and golf has become a passion for me over the last few years. Early on I could be described as a short ball hitter. As a result of The Exercise Coach’s program and hard work, I have become a much longer hitter (adding 15-20 yards a club), and a much better golfer. From tee box to green, I can play with almost anyone. It is a great feeling for an old guy. As with any exercise program, it falls on me, the individual, to live up to the program expectations. Is it difficult at times? You bet it is. With The Exercise Coach’s focus on maximum effort, a lifestyle change, and strength development, I am a healthier, stronger, and more active person today than the day I first walked through the door. Thank you, Exercise Coach! And a special thank you to Bruno and Katie!

As a family physician, I believe strongly in practicing what I preach about healthy lifestyles, but I struggled to balance fitness among the demands of 3 kids, a business to run & a consuming 60 hour work week. Finding an efficient program with proven results in The Exercise Coach made all the difference for me and for many of my patients of all ages. Exercise not only builds strength and fitness, it improves mood as well as any antidepressant, improves sleep, focus and cognitive function, and prevents most of the chronic diseases that destroy quality of life or rob productive years for too many. I’ve seen all the fads come and go, but The Exercise Coach has made me a believer.

I started The Exercise Coach program four months ago and have loved the results. As a long time runner, I’ve never found another form of exercise to be as satisfying as what I do in only 20 minutes with The Exercise Coach. As a physician and scientist, the physiology of this type of exercise for the general population just makes sense. Activating the muscles in the way this super slow method does will speed the metabolism for those struggling with their weight, increase glucose metabolism in those with diabetes or at high risk for diabetes, and encourage bone remodeling and increased bone strength in those with osteoporosis or osteopenia. Since discovering The Exercise Coach team, I am trying to encourage all of my patients to “Enjoy Strength!

30 Day Metabolic
Comeback Challenge

Candace B. – Scottsdale

I was very pleased with my results. I lost about 9.5 lbs doing the 30 day Metabolic Comeback Challenge and never had any problems sticking to the whole foods plan – I’d even say I enjoyed it. Several things that I focused on were my portion sizes, properly spaced meals and snack times, as well as drinking more water. Also, I have found that I feel so much better, with more energy, and my mood has improved. I plan to stay with the whole foods regimen for the most part, maybe two to three times a month cheating on something from the “NO” list of foods, which would be like the 90/10 ratio discussed at the introduction meeting. I realize now that strength training AND healthy eating is the cure to reducing FAT!! Thanks to all of the wonderful coaches. I’ve never ever been a real exerciser and I must say that I enjoy coming to the studio and working out with them! Their encouragement and expertise are greatly appreciated.

Oh my gosh! What a wonderful program! I have tried so many weight loss programs (Weight Watchers, LA Weight Loss, etc.) and none compare to The Exercise Coach. I would go to the gym and work out every day and not see any inch loss. Yes, I felt good for the day and of course, sore. Over the years, I have lost maybe 20 pounds, but gained it back. I have always eaten good food and watched my portions. But I still drank my soda and when my energy was down, I would eat a candy bar (usually every day). At the gym, I signed up for a personal trainer but I went through three of them before I said “forget it”. They were more interested in working with the young cute gals. They weren’t interested in helping someone who really needed them. Then, I saw Amanda Coe on Good Morning Arizona – 20 minutes, twice a week! Now this was a program for me! And what a program it is. I started the exercise program in November, 2013, and my stamina after each workout lasts for several days. I went cold turkey on the 30 Day Metabolic Comeback nutrition program and switched from my sodas and candy bars for energy to fruit. It was really easy. I couldn’t believe that I didn’t miss my root beer. The plan was so easy. My biggest obstacle was eating so much food. It is true that you have to eat to lose weight! It’s all about the eating! Who knew? The recommend organic, but I still shop at Fry’s and really haven’t changed the food that I eat – I have changed the amount and portion sizes. Since my first measurements, I lost 10 inches overall. I just purchased new shorts and some tees in XL. I have always bought 2X. I am so excited with the results. I am not expecting fast results because it took me a long time to get to the weight I am. But this time next year, I will see some great results and hopefully be very close to my goal. I am not focusing on the weight loss – it’s the inches that matter. I love flexing my arms and watching that bump jump! My grandkids get a kick out of it! It used to be nothing but flap and now I can actually feel muscle in there. Thank you Amanda Coe for being on Good Morning Arizona! And thank you to the personal trainers that care about the people they are helping and not what the people look like. Love you guys!!!

When I began working out at The Exercise Coach, my goals were to improve my overall strength, with emphasis on my core and posture. I was already taking 90-minute hot yoga classes three times a week, so the efficiency of a 20-minute workout was very appealing. The result from consistently attending my twice-weekly workouts has been an increase in total body muscle strength of 29%. The staff at the Town & Country studio provides me ongoing motivation and also teaches me the science behind the various exercises. Both of these are key to my continual commitment to The Exercise Coach® program. I recently participated in the 30 day Metabolic Comeback Challenge. The staff encouraged me to participate, and provided the knowledge and encouragement for me to succeed. Weight loss was never a prevalent goal, as I was at a relatively healthy weight. The main thing I wanted to gain from the Metabolic Comeback™ was a reset on some of my eating habits (too much sugar) and also to see if eating whole foods would result in better sleep. Happily, the challenge delivered substantial results: improved sleep, better overall energy & digestive health, and a 14 lb weight loss. During the 30 days I found myself actually enjoying cooking again, and I am looking forward to trying more recipes from the resources at The Exercise Coach. I am thankful to have the staff of Don, Justin, Jessica, Shannon, Jose, and Marissa in my fitness corner, cheering me on.

I just finished the 30 Day Challenge! I can hardly believe I am now drinking green smoothies with veggies, almond milk, fruit, and Coach Fuel protein powder. (That is some feat since I never drank shakes due to the texture). As my trainer Mike reminded me, “mind over matter!” Mike was very supportive throughout and always pushed me to push myself, even beyond when I think I can push no more. Stella, the office manager, gave me great tips on the smoothies too! Hopefully I can continue to eat better and continue on the journey.

Over the last 3 years, I’ve been actively working to improve my health. I’ve tried many new and old activities that I love such as swimming, kayaking, and walking. I’ve become more aware of the impact of my food choices and portion sizes. My track record and trajectory over these three years has been good and in line with achieving my health and fitness goals. Strength training was missing from my routine. I was surprisingly intimidated by the weights and machines as I had never done this before. A friend recommended The Exercise Coach. So, 9 months ago, I put my brave face on, walked in, and signed up. I’m so glad I did. The staff was, and continues to be, very knowledgeable, accepting, and encouraging. I saw results quickly. I’m feeling stronger each month. After many family celebrations in the fall followed by the holidays, I needed to right my course. I had 3 months of a less than stellar diet and many hard fought pounds had found their way back to me. I signed up for the Metabolic Comeback Challenge. Again, it was just what I needed. While I’ve heard some people may have challenges adjusting to changes like this, I thrived on it. I had tons of energy, wasn’t hungry, and had no cravings throughout the challenge. The weight I had put on melted away quickly. After 30 days, I’m back to my healthy lifestyle and feeling stronger. I plan to continue a whole-foods based way of eating and checking in at The Exercise Coach twice a week as I work towards my bigger goal of being fit and fabulous by 55!

Osteoporosis

Carolyn Z. – Arlington Heights

I first learned about the exercise coach from my gynecologist, who is also a client. Since I was diagnosed with Osteopenia (moderate bone density loss) she had encouraged me to try their OsteoHope program. After putting it off for a year and seeing my bone density numbers get worse, I decided to try it. However, I was also struggling with the pain of a bone spur in one shoulder. I had seen a surgeon who gave me several shots of cortisone over the course of 8 months, and sent me off to physical therapy with a chiropractor that I have used successfully for several other ailments, and I completely trust. The result was that I should have surgery to eliminate the bone spur. I did not have the time for that, thankfully. When I started my program at The Exercise Coach, I mentioned the shoulder issue to my personal trainer, Aleksa. She designed a program that not only increased my bone density, which was the original goal, but also strengthened my shoulder so that I no longer have any pain! Not only that, but I am stronger than ever, and feel I am in the best shape of my life. I have always been someone who joins a health club, only to fail to show up because I have no one to work out with. This has solved that problem, because I have a trainer who cares about my progress and really knows how to motivate me to complete each exercise to get the maximum potential out of it. She is also a pleasure to work with and has a great sense of humor, which makes the workouts enjoyable.
